On Tuesday the MTA’s peak policy making body, the Industry Advisory Council, met to discuss priorities to support the automotive industry in South Australia and the Northern Territory

Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and Minister for Energy and Mining Tom Koutsantonis also joined the meeting where he provided his insights on the current energy market. He pleasingly also shared the MTA’s technology-agnostic view on the decarbonisation of transport.

Electric vehicle charging provider myenergi similarly provided an update on emerging EV trends and the associated infrastructure required for businesses and the public alike.

As an association, the MTA is only as strong as its members, and the Industrial Advisory Council helps set both the MTA’s short and long-term goals. All of these decisions are underpinned by our commitment to protect and grow the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
